SA Veterinary Surgeon
The Role
An exciting opportunity to join the brilliant team at our practice is now available. We are seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to be our final member of the team. The role is varied with medical and surgical work shared amongst the team, ensuring you have maximum clinical exposure.
We are looking for either full-time or part-time Veterinary Surgeons. Including 1:4 Saturdays with the following Friday afternoon off. No OOH or Bank Holiday work. Full-time would be working 4 days per week, and we can discuss options for part-time working.
Salary
Salary for the role is up to £55,000 per annum dependent on experience.
About Us
We are a small animal practice based in a growing market town, close to an area of outstanding natural beauty, approximately 7 miles from the coast and with excellent train links to Brighton and London nearby. The practice is approximately 20 minutes drive from Eastbourne.
We are a PSS accredited (General Practice) and a Veterinary Nurse Training Centre, we are dedicated to high-quality care. The practice is well equipped with excellent digital X-ray facilities, high-quality ultrasound, dental X-ray, iM3 dental station and up-to-date anaesthetic monitoring, along with regularly updated, team- driven policies and protocols to ensure standards are met whilst also maintaining job satisfaction.
Our in-house laboratory includes a full range of Idexx analysers, Class IV K-laser is used bothpost-operativelyy and during VN clinics. Separate cattery, kenne,l and isolation areas plus an outdoor exercise area offer excellent inpatient facilities.
Team and Culture
Our team of 5.5 Vets, 6 Nurses, and 8 support staff in Client care and management includes a PGCert holder in Medicine and an NHS Leadership Academy Award holder - all CPD supported. This confirms our commitment to the professional development and personal growth in both clinical and non-clinical areas for all team members. As such we have been awarded the ‘Investor in People' status for over 17 years. We have a positive, can-do working ethos in practice, but most importantly we have a supportive and encouraging culture.
Applicant Requirements
We are seeking a qualified Vet with experience in a small animal clinic. Cheerful and motivated, with drive and enthusiasm to fit into our friendly working environment, you will be a team player, a proactive individual with an adaptable friendly personality, skillful with patients, and great with clients. A driving license is essential due to potential travel between branches. OV experience would be beneficial.
