The practice is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team.
We will accept both part time and full-time applications. A full-time role is 36 hours comprising a 4-day week, with a fair share of out of hours, but we can be flexible, so if its part time you are looking for, please still get in touch!
The salary for this role is up to £55,000 depending on experience.
Our practice is well equipped with various diagnostic and clinical tools, including laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasonography, digital radiography (including dental radiography), in-house laboratory, multi-parameter monitoring equipment, and much more!
We have been awarded Gold in the ICC cat-friendly clinic awards and the hospital has separate cat and dog waiting rooms for clients, separate inpatient wards for cats/dogs / isolation, and dedicated consulting times during the week for cat-only.
About the Team and Culture
The hospital is staffed with 8 Veterinary Surgeons who work alongside a Nurse team that includes Registered Veterinary Nurses, Student Nurses, and Veterinary Care Assistants. Working alongside the day team we have qualified Night Nurses who provide 24-hour care for our inpatients. We are also a registered Training Practice for Student Nurses.
Our support team consists of a Practice Manager who is committed to customer care, a Reception Manager, 6 receptionists, an Insurance Administrator, Financial Administrator, and Pet Loss Administrator.
The ideal candidate will be at least 2 years qualified, be competent in all routine surgeries, and be confident working alone as well as in a team. You will be an enthusiastic and caring individual who is happy to promote and build the practice.
It is really important to us that no one feels overworked, breaks are taken, and that staff gets to leave on time. We are an incredibly friendly and supportive bunch, so we want someone that will fit in and enjoy caring for their colleagues as well as their patients.
