Vet Surgeon

Aug 17

We currently have a great opportunity at our practice for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to lead and mentor our friendly team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The practice is located on good commuter road links giving easy access to Cheshire, Merseyside and Wales along with many other locations and attractions in the North West.

The practice is bright and spacious, purpose-built to industry standards with state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-Ray, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory facilities. It also has the benefit of a number of referral hospitals and specialists within easy travelling distance for clients and for CPD.

We are looking for a Vet with around 5-8 years' good medical and surgical experience, who is looking to consolidate their knowledge and take the clinical lead in this growing business. You'll have strong communication and interpersonal skills and genuinely enjoy interacting with your clients and their animals.

You'll need to feel completely confident in sole charge but there is no OOH requirement. An interest in surgery is particularly welcomed as the practice matures.

We are offering 40 hours per week, including Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

In return for your dedication and high-quality work, we can offer:

  • Career opportunities and development due to our varied case load
  • Competitive salary dependent on your experience (to be discussed at interview)
  • Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS, etc.)
  • Exclusive company discounts and rewards including 20% off at Vets4Pets, Pets at Home and the Groom Room
