Head Veterinary Nurse
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team.
We're looking for a proactive head nurse to lead a team of 8 nurses, 4 of which are qualified. You will be responsible for all duties as per the IVC head nurse job description. The right candidate will work 4-5 days per week with the required shift pattern generally being four long days but there is some flexibility around this. You will be required to work 1 in 4 / 5 weekends. There is no out of hours work required with this position but there is a requirement to work on our shared inpatient night checks rota.
Your role will involve working from a beautiful, light and spacious 12,000 sq foot building that houses separate dental, imaging and chemotherapy suites, surgical and orthopaedic theatres with dedicated cat and dog wards and our very own conference room facilities. We are keen to keep progressing, with tier 2 status approved, hospital status will come later.
Our practice has a well-established reputation in the local area and our caseload is very varied. We see a good mixture of routine but also more advanced cases. We nurture our staff and encourage them to grow and have an input on any changes/enhancements that may impact on the practice’s future.
About the Team and Culture
