Veterinary Surgeon - Full or Part Time

An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for two veterinary surgeons to join our friendly team! Our practice is now seven years old, and is still growing rapidly, providing an interesting and varied case load.

You will be joining a lovely onsite team made up of 4 Vets, 3 RVN’s, 1 practice manager, 2 Veterinary Care Assistants and 4 Receptionists. We also work very closely with our sister practice based in Braintree. We hold a variety of interests within the team including soft tissue surgery, small furries and feline and canine medicine. We welcome vets who have their own area of interest and we provide lots of CPD and support.

We are a busy practice based inside a busy Pets at Home store just a short 15 minute drive from Chelmsford, offering lots of free onsite parking. Our practice is purpose built with state of the art equipment such as digital X-ray, a brand new ultrasound and in house lab facilities.

We are looking for two veterinary surgeons, one experienced vet, confident in consulting and all routine surgical and medical cases and the other would be suitable for a new graduate. There will be an element of sole charge on a weekend for the more experienced vet role.

Both are full time roles but we will consider part time applicants and there are no OOH responsibilities.

In return, we offer:

  • Excellent career opportunities and development due to the varied case load
  • Competitive salary
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Generous CPD and funding of certificates for the right candidate
  • Paid memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS)
  • Childcare vouchers
  • Exclusive company discounts and rewards
